An optical cable is a purely audio cable. In my opinion it is the best cable for use with home audio. It will allow your amplifier to receive a pure Dolby digital sound from your Blu-ray, DVD, etc. but as with all cables, they are open to interference from the environment around them. So like all our other OG range cables, the optical has our 6mm shielding to ensure highest grade signal transfer at a great price.
